What is Permanent Jewelry?Permanent Jewelry is essentially clasp-free jewelry. Clients chose their chain and additions to create a custom fit piece, which is held together by a seamless jump ring and welded closed. We use a leather patch to create a protective barrier between your skin and the jewelry during the welding process, which takes an average of 5 minutes or less to complete!
-
Is it really permanent? This is just like any other piece of jewelry made from fine metals, only secured in a different way! Our pieces are not indestructible. If you feel you may be harder on jewelry than others, please mention that during your appointment and together we will select an appropriate chain to better withstand your lifestyle!
-
What if I need to take it off?Materials used are TSA and X-ray friendly, and have been proven to pass the test for an MRI scanner! Jewelry removal waivers are an option for surgery, depending on body placement. If for any reason you find yourself needing to remove your piece, simply cut the welding point (the little jump ring we discussed) with a pair of wire cutters and you can have your piece put back on at a later date, free of charge.
-
Do you repair jewelry from other Artists?Absolutely! If you have a piece from somewhere else which has stretched or snapped, we will happily fix that for you for a $15 reweld fee.
-
Can I bring my own chain or charms to create a permanent pieceUnfortunately, no, we will not work with any outside materials. We put a great amount of attention into sourcing and simply do not feel comfortable using materials which we know nothing about. This policy is in place to protect the both of us!
